For sale here is an extremely rare smoking suit, made in pure cashmere by Anderson & Sheppard of Savile row in 1970. The cashmere cloth has a texture to the weave and is in very good condition although being cashmere there are light areas of wear as you may expect. The lapels, cuffs and linings are heavy silk satin with a braid to the lapels.
A very unusual and expensive item, ideal for the man who's needs are to smoke without the worry of man made fabrics, discomfort, sartorial ineptitude or using his dining trousers in the library.

There is a small repair below the fly, the inner neck is starting to show some wear and may be best with a small patch of silk to that area. In addition the right cuff has a tiny amount of wear inside and the satin tape on the trousers is slightly worn around the pocket. Most of this is easily replaceable though long term and is light wear and tear.
