For sale here are a very unusual pair of trousers. They are most likely although not definitely naval doe skin but dating them is quite tricky. The taped waist, lack of waistband and linings point to something circa 1910 but they are extremely wide in the cut (28" around the thigh), yet still slightly tapered. Also worth noting is the extremely high back, the most extreme example we've ever had. Another unusual feature is the lack of pockets. I personally suspect that they are late Victorian and the width comes from the tradition of wide trousers in the navy.
Unusually for anything this age they are for a very tall gentleman. An Exceptional item of clothing.
