M. Rice Savile row 1973 Carnaby street cashmere overcoat size 42 44 reg

For sale here we have a really brilliant example of an early 70's Carnaby street tailing by M. Rice. You really don't see many pieces like this, from that nexus point in mens fashion expression and Savile Row tailoring, from the late 60's and early 70's. The coat is made from what feels like a mix of cashmere and alpaca, having a subtle long nap to it. The more unique element to the coat though is probably the Astrakhan collar, originally fitted and not too large or ostentatious. Another feature perhaps is the shorter length, further emphasising that this isn't a 'work' coat.

Fit - 42 traditionally but may originally have been worn more fitted, so then a 44.  

Condition - Superb, no wear or damage.
