For sale here is a very attractive herringbone tweed suit by A.G Almond made in the 1950's. The suit however, and others from the same gentleman is much more reminiscent of the plain and elegant three button, high fasten, curved sleeve suits from the earlier 20th century we know and love. Full hand sewing, poachers pocket, pleated and high backed trousers. A really special piece of vintage English tailoring in my opinion.
Sleeve - 24
Shoulder - 18
Length - 30
Chest - 21
Trs - 34 2 x 29 TU
A shortish 40.
Used but perfectly good for a tweed suit, there is a slight mustiness but you can always replace the armpit material if required. Also the thighs of the leg have yellowed a bit as is typical of older suits in these sort of cloths. Patina you could call it .
