You may have seen an instagram post about this suit but if not its a slightly unsusual one in that it is dated 1957 but is much more like a suit of the 1930's and appears to have a 30's lining. This was not uncommon in the post war period where styles to an extent had become frozen and men past the age of 30 would often still be getting suits made in the pre war shape. That is to say a low three button cut, low collar, high and full trousers and with tape from a high back waistband. There is nothing 1957 about this suit really other than perhaps the patterned charcoal cloth. Lovely item.
