For sale here we have a rare Burtons 30's single breasted  suit in a heavy wool twill. It looks as if the suit has been altered as the Gent has gotten older, a more corpulent . The trousers have had their pleats removed in order to expand the waist and maybe the jacket let out around the waist. Therefore you'd probably want to put this back to standard, or at least reduce the waist. Worth doing though.

 Unless... this is old enough to be early 30's and they were still making flat fronted trousers and it was made to order for a smaller shouldered, larger tummy guy. I say this because the waistband has been done very well if the pleats have been removed... but then back then the tailors were around to do it...

 Shoulder - 16.5

 Length from top of collar - 30

 Chest - 21

 Trs - 38 x 30.5 with turn ups. 

Fit - As mentioned it has been altered, currently a rotund 42 but in realty a slim 42 originally, or even 40. Unless it was originally this shape. 

Condition - Excellent , hardly used, there's just a small hole on the left lapel. A small patch behind would hide this nicely.
