Here we have a fantastic piece of tailoring history. This, as was pointed out to me, is a footman livery waistcoat to the Earl of Aberdeen. The waistcoat is certainly pre 1920 but hard to say otherwise, maybe late victorian. The waistcoat is made of a very high quality doe skin fabric with brass buttons and fine cotton back.
