1930's grey bespoke herringbone overcoat cover coat size 42 44 long

For sale here we have a really nice bespoke overcoat from the 1930's. At first glance you may be mistaken for thinking that it's more recent than that but the timeless cut and herringbone wool is a red herring, as is the lining. The coat has been relined at some stage, done very well but you can always tell. Inside the pockets you can see the bias twill that would have lined the coat body originally . Other clues to its age and pedigree are the velvet lined pockets and hand sewn button holes. 

 The coat is interestingly cut in more of a covert coat style with rows of stitching on the cuffs and at the hem.  

A beautiful coat, ready for a new owner.

Fit - 44 long

Condition - Very good, there is a small repair on the lower left arm and each cuff hem has a small hole. This would be best stitched but you could also have them both shortened 10mm.
